4.99$ breakfast.

Last Saturday, Mike, Mike (Mike's friend whose also named Mike) and I decided to go eat at Le Cagibi in the Mile-End (letter B on the map). Le Cagibi is a hipster café that has a great vegetarian menu (which can be switched up to vegan for those who prefer it that way). It's located on the corner of St.Viateur and St. Laurent -- Mike was jonesing for their "Morning Rumble" which is a potpourri of beans, sweet potatoes, veggies, and cheese wrapped in a tortilla and accompanied with salsa and plain yogurt.
HOWEVER, on our hike to the café (which is approximately 5 km from our place) we came across a rather fancy breakfast spot on Laurier East. It kind of resembled the sort of spot that belongs on Laurier West since it was very classy. What made us stop was the cheap breakfast special they had on: 2 eggs, 2 sausages, toast, potatoes and fruit for 4,99$
Total win for the poor kids.
The spot was called Les Saveurs du Plateau, located at 1479 Laurier East.
We sat and ate.
Service was slow. Coffee sucked and there were no refills. The toast was dry and the Mikes said they should of ordered two plates for themselves rather than one.

We ended up going to Le Cagibi the next day for the "Morning Rumble".
It was better than our 4,99$ breakfast that belonged more to a breakfast dive than this spot that was more or less masking another carbon copy of Cora's.

I recommend Les Saveurs du Plateau for those low on dough and want a traditional eggs breakfast (if that's their special for the day... as their menu price it would of cost 6,95$ -- overpriced.) Otherwise, don't go.
